There but by the grace of God go I.

I know you are having fun making fun of these scammers but in truth these poor SOBs sending out this crap are the ones being scammed. These people actually pay someone for the mailing list they use and for the instructions on how to run the scam. If by some miracle they should hook a real sucker, their "advisor" will steal the windfall and the poor SOB won't get a penny.
Rather than increase the suffering of these poor SOBs who are being scammed, perhaps we should offer them honest advice. That might be the best way to hit the real scammers who sell this fraud scheme to gullible 3rd world people who are desperate to make a buck but end up losing what little they have. The following is an example of how I reply to scam emails:
*************
My friend far away:
I fear I may cause you further loss if I continue. I mean you no harm and honestly feel sorry that you have been tricked by the person who put you up to this fraud. I wish the whole world could be free and happy as I am. I hope I can give you some advice that will be of value to you. Please understand that whoever supplied you with your mailing list and taught you how to try and trick people into this fraud has cheated you out of whatever you have paid for their "advice."
The email addresses on your list receive 50 or more emails a week like the one you sent me. The chance you will ever get a real response to this fraud is zero. Please take time to GOOGLE [insert appropriate keywords] and you will see how long the fraud you are mailing out has been running. I am not angry that you have sent me this fraud email--I feel sorry that someone has tricked you out of what may be a lot of money to you.
I live well and am happy in my home. Even by the standards of my country, I am well off. For the most part this is an accident of being born in America. I realize I could just as well have been born in a poor country and be in your place. Please consider my honest (and free) advice and do not give any more money to the person who has sold you this fraud. You will never make a penny off this project and will lose everything you spend to continue.
I truly wish you happiness and good fortune. "There but by the grace of God go I."
